4 Common Myths Associated With Body Shaping

Contrary to popular belief, body shaping doesn’t require any surgery. All body shaping procedures destroy fat cells without surgery through freezing them, or using heat to eliminate them. Over the years, plenty of myths have circulated about that have tainted the correct perception of what body shaping truly is. Below we debunk some of these myths, and provide the right answers.

Myth:

Body shaping is a surgical process.

Answer:

This couldn’t be farther from the truth. There are a number of different ways a professional facility would perform this including freezing targeted fat cells, heating fat cells by means of lasers, and ultrasound procedures. None of the aforementioned treatments require any sort of surgical equipment and are proven to be safe procedures.

Myth:

Body shaping is extremely painful.

Answer:

While there is some discomfort associated with body shaping treatments, it is not unbearable pain and doesn’t last long. It is expected that patients will be able to withstand the small pains associated with these procedures. Even though they say beauty is pain, it doesn’t mean that it is excruciatingly painful.

Myth:

Body shaping treatments are very dangerous and unnatural.

Answer:

As with any sort of cosmetic treatment, you always run a small risk of long-term damage. However, body shaping procedures are not known to inflict anything more than some minor bruising, stinging, and infrequent aching. Despite these minor pains, there is nothing remotely life-threatening in a body shaping procedure.

Myth:

Body shaping procedures don’t work.

Answer:

While nothing is guaranteed, most procedures are proven to be effective. Despite this fact, it is still important for the patient to continue to practice living a healthy lifestyle after the procedure. You can look at body shaping as a head start on a healthier life, and it is up to you to continue to maintain your new look.
